A Sprite is a supernatural legendary creature. They are often depicted as a fairy and/or elf-like creatures. The word “sprite” is derived from the Latin word “spiritus”. Variations on the term include “spright” and the Celtic word “Spriggan”. Most common types include the ‘Water Sprite’ and in the case of the above photo shoot subject, the ‘Forest Sprite’. They are known to have supernatural powers and abilities to fly, and are harmless unless threatened! Next time you’re in a forest, sit down quietly and look out for them!!
